Pricing structure
The level of discount depends on what stage of development the garment is in. The earlier you preorder (meaning a longer wait before shipping), the bigger the discount off the final retail price.

Here’s an example of discounted pre-order pricing using our popular 100% merino wool Nora sweater vest as if it were a pre-order item:
For context - our knitwear never goes on sale for more than 25% off, we only have 25% off deals or more once or twice a year, and we don’t have inventory pressure for knitwear which is intrinsic to our kind of business
Cost to produce: $69 (not including overhead & development costs, just factory labor & materials. For a real pre-order, this would be an estimated cost.
Phase 0 - $88 (40% off retail)
Phase 1 - $98 (34% off)
Phase 2 : $108 (28% off)
Phase 3 - $118 (21% off)
Full retail price: $148 (we are DTC - direct from our NY and MD factory to consumer. No wholesale “middleman” markup)
Traditional retail: $300+ (with wholesale markup)

Pre-sales give us the ability to bulk order for accurate first production runs, increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs, so we can pass real savings along without undervaluing our work. It helps keep our cash flow steady in a seasonal business, and also makes our pieces more accessible to those shopping more mindfully with a budget and don’t mind waiting.
Returns
Worry not - if the production is cancelled for some unforeseeable reason, you will be refunded for your pre-order to your original form of payment.
If you end up not liking your pre-ordered item after receiving it, you can get free return shipping and a refund in store credit with no expiry date.
You may also cancel your order at any time prior to Phase 3 finalization and receive a refund to your original form of payment minus a processing fee of $5.99, or as store credit for no additional fee.
